Is anyone having issues with nostr.build or it’s just me? My upload is stuck at 768kb

Is it still happening? I tried to repro but mine worked. Maybe a small temporary glitch? Next time try to click (x) next to the upload and try it again. If it’s happening all the time, let me know so I can investigate deeper. Sorry about the inconvenience 🙇♂️

I tested just now. Pictures work fine. But for this 132mb mov, it gets stuck at ~700kb. I restarted the phone, deleted the file and downloaded it again. Not sure what’s the issue

That’s unexpected. Did you close the web interface tab, and opened it again? Are you on TOR or some other connection like VPN? I’d like to know so I can try and reproduce, otherwise it should work.
I turned off vpn to test. Usually I have no problems with it. I closed the website and reopened too. Same issue. I’ll try via nostr build shack maybe?
Shack doesn’t have upload functionality yet. Let me try and see what is up. Also try good old refresh page thing, but it shouldn’t be the problem
How would you know? 
Can you also check sidebar and see if you have space left?

Hmm. I wonder if it’s somehow a file format problem. MOV is generally supported, so it shouldn’t be an issue. Do you have any other large files to try that worked in the past? I tried again myself but couldn’t repro

I downloaded a 141mb mov from nostr.build (that i uploaded the other day). Tried uploading again. It hangs at around 800kb…
It may be the upstream provider issue, please try now I disabled one optimization that may resolve the issue

DNS cache may need to be cleared first. Please close and open the browser, and wait 5-10 minutes.
That one comes after upload is done and largely not relevant to large uploads

Hmm… turned off tailscale on the laptop. Upload is not hanging anymore. Tailscale exit node is the culprit

That should not be the case, it’s likely the dns resolution that fails on TS for some reason or maybe ipv4/ipv6 routing related

I am almost literally banging my head against a wall now. I tried with a VPN from North America, cell, Wi-Fi, and what not, still cannot reproduce. Did you do a good old refresh of the page? Click that reload button?
Just tried 1.3mb file and 123kb file on laptop. Both worked

Also, on a laptop, when doing large files, can you please open the dev console and see what is happening in it? Also check network tab, see if something is hanging
Ok, so it’s signed upload direct to R2 and I don’t know what may prevent it 😭
I tried uploading the file to Google Drive and it worked. Not sure if that helps the diagnosis. The upload failed at first at work, also at home. Wi-fi and cellular
