"Most of these thieves won't be able to use these funds" Anybody smart enough to steal this much #Bitcoin is going to (1) wait 10-15 years to fade off into the background, (2) make their way to a Bitcoin economy where funds can be spent directly without fiat ramps, and (3) use the latest mixing tools between now and them to fungify the corn.

These stolen funds (Coldcard, Liquid, etc) are interesting historical events for bitcoins future and its role in the world. So far it looks like nobody has the power to revert (unlike Ethereum). if history is any evidence it is correct. Not because it is impossible to launder Bitcoin, but because most criminals are fucking retarded. Ilya Lichtenstein and his wife got busted with like 4 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin. They didn’t stay disciplined and eventually connected one of their coins to their real ID. They could have just atomic swapped to XMR and stayed rich. They did a bunch of washing at no KYC street cash exchanges in Ukraine, but they got very lazy about it and overconfident, and eventually mingled the wrong UTXO. Historically people get really fucking stupid about these things.
