Whatever they do with that money their problem, as you have volunteered it as a gift of your time Study the difference between legal and lawful, remove political opinion and stick to property rights

Exactly. She wants it and I’m not going to jeopardize this. But once she gets it I’ll be pushing to move to Colombia to raise our child there instead

Absolutely not. I fundamentally disagree with citizenship based taxation. If I’m not living somewhere and “benefiting” why would I pay? I know there has been talk about tracking down expats more aggressively. But who knows what will happen

I’d also like to callout that my goal in life is to renounce US citizenship. It’s getting the second one first that’s the hard part
