Random fact... I had reconnected with a foster brother of mine around mid-July 1990, after my junior year high school (he was a grade older and just graduated). Prior to that, I believe the last time I saw him he was in 7th grade. Anyway, we talked on the phone for a while before deciding we'd go to Riverfest that year in St. Paul to see Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble. I don't remember what happened to him or to our plans, but SRV died a few weeks after he did this show. RIP. Never did get to speak to my brother again, either. He wrote many letters to my parents years before that, and I found them all after my mother died. He had many foster families in his life, but my parents were the only ones he called, "Mom" and "Dad".

Idle hands and all that... work gives people purpose, income, and creates character.
