I downloaded it. But considering how hard it is to bring people to use nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kytcqyzd7y9s35dq5ym53gcjhc4qhnc3dz79m04qsdcj8mhe72pahnpdxktmzs3c , how in the world should there be enough active installs of Bitchat to create a working mesh network?

I stuck with #nostr in my early days of noting into the abyss. If you note enough, (not d*pix, or any crap like that) quality npubs eventually respond.
I'm hardly a expert on it but I believe there is a new update that if you meet in person you can setup bitchat messages to route over Nostr relays to that person moving forward. So distance becomes infinite with internet access.
Ah ok. Did only know the thing with the bluetooth mesh. And this alone seemed so much niche usecase to me, that probably not many download and use it daily.
