I understand your concern, currently Nostr is a bit of an echo-chamber, and I think this is absolutely normal for a newborn technology and its related group. But you have to look at the potential. The real point is that it is not a platform, but first and foremost a protocol, so you can build whatever you want. The more applications that are created, the more people will flock, and these people will join other nostr-powered services creating a more wide and heterogeneous public, where you could find *your* public. All this require works, from all parties, even the creators. If you think you can find a better and healthy ecosystem than Twitter or Instagram, for free, you are right to be delusional.

Yadda yadda yadda. You love listening to your own hubris. I have been here for a year. It's going downhill. I was all about being exclusive to nostr. Now, I am moving it to a self hosted blog, and diversifying where I share my content. Create more underfunded clients? Sounds like a plan for success!
Hubris? You are talking like someone that just pretend and complain, what value did you put to make things better? Judge and criticize a group of appassionate builders, only because *you* are not obtaining what you want shorterm, is sad. Maybe @🟠 isolabellart can share some direct experience about the matter, I'm done here. PS: For a content creators, like any other professional, a website is the first obvious think to setup to have a sovereign space. So glad your are thinking about that, now.
Personally, I can't complain about Nostr. One year on Twitter and Instagram, one painting taken. Ten months on Nostr, eight paintings taken by nostriches. Yes lately the v4v has dropped significantly and I don't have any constant supporters, but hey, I'm an emerging artist with only 30 years experience, what's that. A blink of an eye in eternity.
For as to what I did? My content was innovative an nostr centric. I did a campaign where I did outreach to other social media networks to pull in new nostriches. I included zaps as a way to make my content more of a game. Yes hubris. You also appeal to authority because your argument is weak. Carlo and I know each other well enough to support each other in our artistic endeavors. I am a moderator in his community.
I've been on Nostr for 8 month and i'm sure this is the best place for content creators. I've recived an amazing support from all arround the world! And i've sold my art with just #zaps We are earlyβ˜€οΈ
