Even though Bitcoin is “verify, don’t trust,” a bitcoin society would have inherently more trust.

Everything has tradeoffs including sovereignty

There is the inherent challenge of balancing sovereignty with children, and teaching them the importance of it. As they start to get older, more autonomy can be given. My wife and I are always surprised with the amount of parental intervention there is for younger children, when they are capable of so much more.
The lessons we’ve learned is that there are going to be instances where your children take things too far and that is the price of sovereignty.
Rules Without Rulers: A Family Foundation in a Bitcoin World
In both family and finance, rules provide structure, but rulers are not always necessary. As a parent, I believe in creating a home where principles guide us more than authority alone. It’s the same ethos that draws me to Bitcoin—a system built on consensus and fairness, not centralized control.
I’m here to share my journey of raising a family in a world increasingly shaped by Bitcoin. Together, we’ll explore how sound money principles can create more freedom, security, and opportunities for our children. Whether it’s teaching kids about financial independence, or building a future grounded in trustless systems, I’m excited to take this journey with you.
Let’s talk about navigating life with rules, but without rulers. Welcome to SatoshiParenting.
We need more of this

How would your life change if you based it solely on a finite monetary good that couldn’t be debased? As bitcoin becomes a bigger part of our net worth and life in general, you start to change.
Things like proof of work become more ingrained in your life and you see many improvements from not living on a fiat standard anymore. Anytime I have a rough day I think about how much easier my life has become because Bitcoin is certainty.
I guess I’ll have the try this

Being new to Nostr, I can finally empathize with the OG bitcoiners and how they felt back in the day. Nostr is starting to have its gradually then suddenly moment.

How lucky we were to have the greatest minds in Bitcoin, and how lucky we still are the greatest minds today

We saw a big shift recently with the Telegram news. The best UI for Nostr is governments continuing to crack down on free speech.

Decentralization becomes more important as “trusted sources” become compromised. As a bitcoiner, any source can become compromised. Verify, don’t trust.
