Now that I can create personal mobile apps, the issue is that I'm locked in the Apple infra which makes it much harder to run your own apps. Android is far easier.
Any advice? A Testflight account? A real dev account and just submit and hope the app gets approved? View quoted note →

Notes may be permanent. My opinions aren't.
As global/uncurated feeds are becoming full of AI slop, I choose to scale down and interact only with my WoT, my family being the first one. View quoted note →
I'm gonna write a little social network + chat server and client for my family, invite-only. And I think Nostr is an overkill for it, I don't need its advantages. Run the server on a cheap VPS, pair client with server and off you go.
But I'm tired of this and that app being blocked in different countries, p2p messengers failing all the time. Not sustainable for my mom. A simple Twitter-like timeline + group chat is all we need as a family.
I'll open-source it, too, maybe someone else will need it.
I wonder how that 3D-printed gun revolution going on in the US and elsewhere. Haven’t heard much since the hype died down.
In a world where everything is a psyop, you may want to lean only on your senses: what you see, hear and feel.
But soon enough, even that will be difficult. Holographic projection, advanced haptics, neural interfaces and environmental AR will eventually make “seeing is believing” obsolete.
What do you trust then?
“That’s a nice movement you got going on there. Would be a shame if it were split into two opposing camps both of which we actually control.”
Being a solo founder of a self-funded project is no easy task, but it comes with the freedom to do whatever I want. Which itself is a lot more valuable to someone like me, but, granted, is not for everyone either.
I finally got NoatrVPN working on several machines. Bye, Tailscale!
It’s still a slower and clunkier, but a year from now it’ll be much better. A very important project built on Nostr and FIPS.

Claude’s promo worked well, OpenAI wants to do the same.

Citizen Vigilante is such an obvious psyop. They really want a civil war everywhere so they can step in and save everyone with their totally reasonable solution.
I have smartphone fatigue. It’d be nice to ditch it for a dumber phone that I can use purposefully. Maybe that Commodore flip phone isn’t such a bad idea.
Superstitious people are afraid of going to Hell while not realizing Hell is right here on Earth.
