Many people think Satoshi’s “Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks” message was a political statement and an Easter egg as to why he created Bitcoin. It might’ve been, but there’s a more practical reason he included those words in the genesis block: it was a timestamp. That Times headline proved the genesis block couldn’t have been mined before January 3rd, 2009. Proof of timing!

Bitcoin is honest and ethical. If I buy a share of an S&P index fund, I’m funding: Poison companies (MacDonalds, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, etc.) War companies (Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, etc.) Big pharma companies (JNJ, Abbvie, Pfizer, etc.) People mindlessly throwing money at the S&P (or similar index funds) are straight up feeding this completely immoral machine. Storing value in Bitcoin actively starves the beast, and obliterates their returns while doing it!
