This is awesome! Always looking out for new implementations that I could possibly self-host. Haven't found my niche yet, unfortunately. I've been on Fediverse for over a year now and self-host my own personal instance on my domain. The closest thing to this, that's accessible to others via browser, is Ditto as far as I know. Ditto is just too new to be worth it for me, sadly. There's features that just don't work correctly or not at all and it's not optimized yet. I know it's just 1 dev mostly. Why does #Amethyst render certain things in notes that other clients don't? For example, if I paste a note ID here, it will just show plain text on Damus, Primal, etc. But amethyst would render it as a quote post.🤔 This also happens with media. I host images on cloudflare and the links don't end with a file extension. If I paste the link in a note, it shows as a plain text link on Damus, Primalc etc., But Amethyst renders the photo. #AskNostr #Damus #Primal

I wonder how hard it would be for a programmer to fork Immich.app and add Nostr/NIP-05 compatibility...🤔 I want to host my own media for Nostr, but my knowledge of Linux isn't the best. I can follow very detailed instructions with commands and such. The only way I've been able to do it recently, is through my backblaze object storage. The issue I have with that, is the usability on multiple platforms. It is VERY janky on mobile and doesn't allow me to easily copy the link after it's uploaded. I know I can literally host media anywhere and it's pretty trivial. However, I really want to be in control of my own stuff. #Nostr #Programming #SelfHosted #SelfHosting
