@Jeff Booth I think I just had an Aha moment. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Bitcoin is so good at measuring deflation that I don’t need much. This whole time I’ve been racing to trade my fiat for Bitcoin and get as much as possible, but in reality I don’t need all of it. What I needed was the understanding and conviction to open my mind to the fact that I’m living in the first global free market and I can choose to do that forever. It’s not about how much you have. It’s about understanding why you have it.

@Jeff Booth have you ever discussed the confusion between growth and productivity with Joe Carlasare? @preston this would be an awesome podcast with two of the greatest minds in the space.

@preston you should have @Jeff Booth and Joe Carlasare on the podcast. I think they would have a great conversation regarding growth vs productivity in the economy and how that affects debt to GDP.

Is anyone else struggling with bitcoin being political. I got into bitcoin because I was fascinated by it and wanted to learn more and more. I feel like there is much more bullshit going around now and it is almost hard to trust any information (on X obviously, not Nostr). A lot of people just doing click bait, incorrect info and then a bunch of reposts of the same incorrect info. Any thoughts?

Everyone needs to listen to the coin stories podcast that wasn’t meant to be a podcast. It’s pure gold (Bitcoin). I’ve watched it an embarrassing amount of times learning new things each time. Thank you @nat brunell and @Jeff Booth for laying things out so nicely. I think the people I try to orange pill struggle the most with understanding that the natural state of the free market is deflation. Most of them can’t get past that deflation isn’t happening currently because they are trying to measure it with the current system. So the natural state of the free market is NOT a product of any system (Bitcoin or USD) it just IS. It’s the truth of what is happening. Now measuring it is where most people are using USD and Bitcoiners are obviously using Bitcoin. This makes it much easier to see the truth. Please let me know if I’m wrong anywhere Jeff. I want to make sure I’m understanding all of this.

@Jeff Booth instead of saying “prices should fall forever” should we say “Labor is always removed until it is eliminated”? I now see that the “systems” you refer to are the USD and bitcoin and what they are measuring. The truth is that Labor is being eliminated whenever possible because we choose that every time. We choose what is more valuable. I think many are confused by assigning deflation to the USD system when you are really saying that eliminating labor is truth. The USD system is just a measuring system that cannot measure the truth. Bitcoin is the best system for measuring the truth. Maybe it’s just semantics, but I think people are associating deflation with systems rather than the truth.

@Jeff Booth im listening to @npub1s9z7...nszc and @nat brunell on coin stories. Joe is explaining the boom in productivity from AI and the growth that will lead to. Is this what you were referring to on your pod with Natalie that people don’t understand that productivity is worse for growth? It is making growth harder not easier correct?

@Jeff Booth if all that matters is bitcoin staying decentralized and secure how do we ensure that happens individually. I understand that many people buy bitcoin on exchanges and keep them there. That is something we need people to understand. Not your keys not your coins, but other than that and running a full node is there anything else individuals can do?

@Jeff Booth I can’t thank you enough for all you have taught me over the last 5 years. I have watched your latest podcast with @nat brunell AT LEAST 6 times. So much to dissect there. Even after watching most of your podcast appearances multiple times over the years. I’m so fortunate to be where I am today and it’s people like you and @preston that helped me and my family in ways I can’t express enough appreciation for. So thank you.
