I am reading more and more articles about #AI generated court arguments with fictitious citations. At this point the courts manage to catch them and reject them. At least most of them. What will happen when a few slip through? Court verdicts will be made based on these fake citations. Now people will quite these verdicts. L1 will be true. L2 will be false. And as the AI mistakes will be pushed lower in the stack it would be harder to detect them. The same will be true for science. AI will start introducing bogus studies and might derail real science and solutions. But the real victim will be economics. Something between science and philosophy, it's harder to determine when an economic claim is true or false. It will be much easier to insert an economic bias, and harder to eliminate it. #economics
