Who is the asshole, specifically? Well, it’s the same asshole as it always is. The faceless cowards of generations past. The same entity that refuses to take responsibility for anything. The same energy that basks in the darkness of obscurity. The same ideology that projects its own insecurity on existence itself. Ironically, in this particular case, “markets” have donned the asshole. Publicly traded companies, beholden to everyone, accountable to no one, have become the asshole, specifically. “Public” companies are an inappropriate tool to take the kind of risk that honest filmmaking requires.

I'd like to share a little milestone with ya'll. Today marks the culmination of the past 6 years of my life. So much has happened, and yet, somehow, this is just the beginning. In 2017, after stumbling into the crypto rabbit hole I had a simple realization...Why not stream value from audiences to filmmakers? Maybe then we could repair the incentives of the industry I grew up in, and with a little luck we could help the art form I had grown to love. But, I wasn't a software engineer so I left it alone. Someone would do it. By 2020 I was jobless and well on my way to becoming something of a bitcoin maxi. I had waited but nobody had yet built what I thought would be most useful, so I decided to build @IndeeHub. The idea is simple...for every second a film is watched, filmmakers get paid. The film industry is broken. Everyone can feel it. I fundamentally believe it is a matter of incentives and I'm building @IndeeHub to fix those incentives. As of today, for the first time since I started this journey, audiences can stream value directly to filmmakers by simply watching their movies. Come check it out.
