Just a whole-ass 6940 pound C-band satellite floating 23400 miles out there with nothing on it, both polarities. Just completely empty except for the beacon. For now 😏 (yes I know my cross-pol LNB is kinda poopy lookin 😔)

Lit up a full 36 MHz transponder yesterday with only 19 watts of power (!) on this really old C-band antenna. On most others this size it would take ~40-45 watts of power. Sometimes all they need is a little love. And a keen sat stacker 😎📡🛰️

I wish I could show everyone without doxxing the armies of people and the insane amounts of work that is done behind the scenes of their favorite live televised sporting events that make it possible for everyone to watch. You just get to turn the channel or load up the streaming app. On the other side of that is at least one pleb among many workers sweating, bleeding, and stressing in the heat, rain, and cold to bring it to you because failure just isn’t an option. But ngl it feels pretty good to earn and then short all those fiat advertiser dollars into the hardest money known to mankind 😏 Enjoy the show ❤️
