GM Made some scrambled eggs with shallots and garlic and ham and sundried tomatoes and gochujang and cottage cheese with shallots on top because breakfast. Totally pumped for Bitdevs tonight too, even if my brain is more swimming in FIPS.

@jack mallers Let me confirm that questions about XXI are definitely not remotely on my mind (just referring to the Q&A on last night's show). They were lucky to have you, it was questionable that you were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, it's not surprising that you're gone, and we're all better off for it. Also, Google Pay is a nice add. Don't think you guys quite edge out Cashapp for me on that front, but I'm pretty sure they've got a few more revenue streams to balance out and turn a profit, so no worries there. Free wires is still the deal I'll take for my buys. Amusing hearing you fielding questions regarding some of those higher risk interfaces and things like check deposits. You're right to be hesitant -- it'll cost 3x whatever you think it will to deal with the ramifications. Fuck checks, fuck debit cards, and fuck the sort of clean up response you need to engage with to address all the scamming. Maybe at some point you feel rich enough or masochistic enough, but I'd not rush in.

GM. Doing some reading about #FIPS and #Reticulum this morning. At first glance there seems to be a fair bit of overlap, and it does look like FIPS does look to make use of radio in the near future (as well as WiFi mesh). But I'm teasing out the distinction of just how lightweight Reticulum aims to be, while how functional FIPS aims at. Seems like FIPS is a great way to make use of the existing infrastructure in a private and censorship proof way, with the ability to add additional networking off of the existing TCP/IP stack, while Reticulum really seems to shine at creating networks (including a global network) function effectively in as efficient a manner as possible, allowing for some VERY impressive networking on shoestring infrastructure, largely by dispensing with TCP/IP entirely and building from the ground up for efficiency. Curious to see where both go, and will definitely be playing around with both.

@Gigi Now you've done it throwing FIPS on my radar. I'd somehow tuned it out and clearly huge portions of my life are going to be thrown at this thing. I hope you're happy. This is what I get for listening to the hit @No Solutions podcast...
