I’ve been digging back into an interesting project from 2023: the Catawba Indian Nation in the Carolinas and their bid to create a Bitcoin-friendly "Digital Economic Zone" (CDEZ). Their goal was ambitious—to build a jurisdiction tailored for FinTech banks, DAOs, and digital assets, effectively creating a "Ditch Delaware" alternative right on sovereign tribal land. Looking at their current site, they are still offering LLC and DAO incorporations with a regulatory framework designed to move at the "speed of innovation". Question for the #Nostr community: Does anyone have boots-on-the-ground info or recent experience with the CDEZ? Is it gaining traction among Bitcoin companies, or is it still in the "early pioneer" phase?
