Morning Musings ☕️ : Topic: Trump grift vs hack or is this a backdoor SBR we didn’t see coming? In light of the $TRUMP release I see a few explanations/possibilities. Some baseline analytics as reported are that one wallet and direct links to it controls 80-85% of the coin. So, is this the ultimate grift? Nothing fixes a grift. If it’s just a pure grift, we just got set back 10 years in the public adoption of bitcoin. Could Trump have been hacked? Grift angle: someone just made billions of cash overnight Geopolitical angle: Did China/Russia/etc hack trump and the threat of a rug pull is the new “crypto” bomb hanging over his head. Effectively stalling an SBR while Trump manages optics and manufactures a BTC dip to allow another actor more time/lower price. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Or is this the most maverick way to backdoor a US SBR that none of us saw coming? $Trump gets billions of market cap overnight. He rug pulls all of his supporters who wanted to 1. Make a quick buck or 2. Support his crypto plans. He saves them from themselves and converts directly to BTC and gifts to the government to kickstart the SBR. Simultaneously kills shitcoining forever. He knew he couldn’t orange pill everyone in time and get congress to act on the SBR so he crowdfunded a crypto rug pull to buy the BTC. No idea if the functionality or precedent to gift the government an asset exists? Also, nostr signature would verify a message and clarify the hack piece of this Interesting times. If I had to rank the likelihood of these possibilities: 1. Most likely pure grift 2. Geopolitical hack 3.
