I paint in oil. Inspired by time, silence, and light. Each work is unique and for sale in Bitcoin. โ†’ https://isolabellart.it.com Paintings notes: #isolabellart Art gallery: https://gallery.isolabellart.it.com
GM #Nostr A strange reality about Italy. You can spend your whole life here and still never see all the art.
A funny thing about Italy. You can walk into a random church on a normal Saturday afternoon and find a painting older than the United States. No ticket. No security line. Just silence and 400 years of paint. image
Something that surprises many foreigners when they come to Italy: here museums are not separated from life. You walk into an ordinary church and you might be looking at a 500-year-old painting. Then you cross the street and someone is drinking an espresso. Art is not an event here. Itโ€™s just part of the landscape.
image This is how BREACH begins. Just chalk on canvas. Everything still rough, still uncertain. The rocks are barely there. The sky is just a suggestion. But I can already see it. That's the strange part of painting: you work in a fog, and somehow you know where you're going. #art #artstr #isolabellart View quoted note โ†’
Wisp is simply the best experience you could ask for when you enter Nostr, I'm not kidding. Wisp is just Nostr as it was always meant to be.
GM #Nostr ๐Ÿซ‚๐ŸŽจ Many foreigners think Italy is beautiful because of its monuments. But the strange thing is something else. In Italy even small village bars have paintings on the walls. Not posters. Real paintings. Sometimes made by someone from the town. You grow up like this. Surrounded by painting without even noticing it. Maybe thatโ€™s also why I started painting.
#Wisp, I keep using it and still find myself impressed. On Nostr, Primal remains very popular, and I get why: it has a team, infrastructure, and visibility. But in my experience, Wisp in just a few weeks has solved things that had been frustrating me for a long time: - much clearer threads - notes that stay coherent - instant notifications - solid relay management - fast and seamless zaps - a smooth, uninterrupted feed And one detail that still makes me smile: many Nostr clients already have note translation, but Primal, despite a year of development, still doesnโ€™t. Itโ€™s amazing to see how, even without a team or funding, a single person can build something that improves the everyday experience of users so much. Iโ€™m noticing mostly regular users enjoying Wisp, while the more technical users quietly observe. For me, this is one of those cases where quality is felt without needing technical explanations. And thatโ€™s the part I find truly fascinating.
I'm about to start a new painting. The sea is rough. The rocks are dark. The waves break hard against the stone. And yet โ€” two arches in the rock, and the sun passing through them. Not disappearing. Just hiding for one turn of the earth. That's what I want to paint. Not the storm. The calm inside it. The reminder that the light always comes back. It's called BREACH. #art #artstr #isolabellart
A few weeks ago I wrote about this painting before starting it. A sky that didn't exist. A place I had only in my head. Something between a dawn and a sunset. A beginning or an end. Now it's finished. And it's exactly what I wanted. That doesn't happen often. image ECSTASY Oil on board 600,000 sats Available here ๐Ÿ‘‰ It needs 3 weeks to dry before it can ship. ๐ŸŽจ Art for Bitcoin Got some Bitcoin sitting in your wallet? Iโ€™m willing to pay for it โ€” with my original oil paintings. Real canvases, painted by hand. No prints, no copies. Each piece exists only once. If the idea intrigues you, tell me how many BTC youโ€™d be willing to part withโ€ฆ and letโ€™s see which painting might find a new home. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Take a look here
You donโ€™t understand Nostr the moment you arrive. At first it feels confusing. Too many clients. Too many names. Amethyst. Yakihonne. Primal. Damus. Jumble. Nostur. Theyโ€™re all good in their own way. But only after trying several do you begin to see whatโ€™s really happening. And then it clicks. Nostr isnโ€™t a social network. Itโ€™s what comes after social networks. Here you donโ€™t choose a platform. You choose the client you prefer. You donโ€™t follow an algorithm. You follow people. You donโ€™t have an account owned by a company. You have a key. And that key is your identity everywhere. If an app shuts down, youโ€™re still there. If a relay disappears, your content flows somewhere else. If you dislike an interface, you simply change the door โ€” not the house. Recently I tried many clients. Amethyst. Yakihonne. Primal. Damus. Jumble. Nostur. All solid. All interesting. But the first one that really made everything feel right for me was #Wisp (thanks @utxo the webmaster ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป ). And thatโ€™s the quiet revolution of Nostr. Imagine opening Instagram through Twitter and finding the same profile, the same followers, the same posts. Thatโ€™s Nostr. A simple protocol that quietly returns something we lost without noticing: ownership of our online identity. Platforms become tools. The network returns to the people. Weโ€™re not choosing a new social network. Weโ€™re choosing not to belong to just one anymore.
