I'm working on a new painting. No reference photo. No real place. Just something I had in my head that wouldn't leave. A sky that could be dawn or sunset. A beginning or an end. A beach with no people, no animals. A small strip of land, a rock slowly walking into the sea. Uncertainty reflected on the water. The kind of loneliness that doesn't make you feel alone.
