GM Nostr friends, and a blessed Good Friday to those of you who call Jesus your friend and savior. Very gray skies here today. Seems kind of fitting for the day itself, so I'm not complaining. Hubby has been struggling the frustration and hurt of some very one-sided friendships lately. I don't know how to help him. The poor guy just wants the guys he calls friend to treat him as such, and he just gets nothing back from these people. Makes me want to go slap them. When he hurts, I hurt. I keep trying to tell him that, but then he replies that he just won't tell me about these feelings anymore so as not to worry me. Marriage is hard. We're at our one year anniversary tomorrow (4/19/24!), and it has seriously been a grind. I love him very much, but Life keeps inserting itself to make things difficult. Anyway, enough of my personal diary for today. Go out and get 'er done.

GM Nostr friends. It's finally feeling warm outside today! Someone down the street is using a band saw and it's super loud. I can hear it clearly even though my office windows are shut. Must be that time of year. Have a good Thursday, I dare you.

GM Nostr friends! It's Trash Day, also known as Wednesday around here. Hubby and I did a fairly long walk yesterday, and I had a hard time keeping up with him. Speed walking is definitely not my favorite. Body is sore today. Gotta keep it up and vary workouts, otherwise I'm never going to lose the weight. Have a good day, everybody!

GM Nostr friends. Another blustery cold day here, but I saw green tips poking out of the ground on my morning walk. The sun felt so good on my face. Starting my Zepbound journey. I had my first shot on Saturday, and last night (Monday) was the first time I felt any symptoms - just a little nauseous because I had a pretty protein-heavy dinner. Trying to remind myself that the diet and exercise changes and possible drug side effects are worth it. I need to get out of the diabetic zone, and then I can cut out my other obesity-related meds and avoid going down my mom's path that led to kidney failure. Get out there and work it today, people.

GM Nostr friends. Brr, cold(ish) and windy out today. Where did Spring go? Finished All Systems Red, now on book 2 of the Murderbot Diaries. Loving it so far. I went and got an Apple TV+ subscription so I can watch the show when it debuts next month. #bookstr Here's to Monday. Make it a good one!

GM Nostr friends. Went to the doc for my yearly today, and she prescribed me one of the GPL-1 meds. Waiting to see if my insurance will cover it, but I'm hopeful. Too much chonk around my middle that I'm hoping to get rid of. Here's to another week. Make it a good one.

GM Nostr friends. Hubby and I had a friend over for takeout and a baseball game last night, so my brain was absolutely convince yesterday was Friday. Kinda bummed to have another workday ahead, but I got my coffee and my pup sleeping at my side - it's going to be okay. Have a good one.

GM Nostr friends. Back to a peaceful morning here. Lu is snoring in her bed next to my desk, have about half a mug left of coffee, and only one meeting on my calendar for today. Go out and enjoy your day.

GM Nostr friends. After a late snow/rain last evening, I'm in the office today, and Lu is at doggy daycare. Going to be a long day on campus, with my boss having his retirement party after hours, but will be good.

GM Nostr friends! I'm flying medium-high on cold meds today. It's so nice to be able to breathe out my nose again. Also, exciting news: I might have purple-pilled my boss. We were in a one-on-one and he was talking about how back Facebook was, so I briefly explained Nostr and sent him a couple intro pages and he seemed pretty interested. Whoo hoo!

GM Nostr friends. Already launched into the new week. It appears I have a regular cold now, so popping some zinc and cold meds to hold back the coughing and kleenex use. Hopefully this clears up by mid-week, as my boss is retiring this week and his party is Wednesday.
