@Peter Alexander was great on @TFTC talking about what #America gets wrong about China. Peter said something like this, I'd heard before, "China is not a nation, but a culture masquerading as a nation." When we pair this with the old idea that "America is not a nation, but an idea" we actually have a competition between an idea and a culture not between two nations.

This week in environmental science we are talking about useful scientific frameworks. It seems to me that most environmental issues require a basic understanding of five primary frameworks: systems theory, ecology, biogeochemistry, socio-ecologcial interactions, and energy flow. I have gone back and forth a lot on this list, and I would enjoy nostr's thoughts on these. #science #asknostr #environmental #envsci

Really enjoyed this, I can wait for a hot water heater that mines BTC and uses my excess solar energy during the day. Then I'd have hot showers and more sats.

What is the most plug and play way to set up an at home miner? I generate most of my power off solar. By around 10-11 AM the batteries are full and the panels are idle. I would love to put that extra power to work if at all possible, but I don't have a ton of time to sink into this. Any thoughts? In an ideal world the miner would also be a hot water heater as we currently only heat water when on the grid. #Asknostr #mining #BTC #solar #energy
I am always a little worried about digital book burners, but am also an avid consumer of audio books and 'have' an Audible library. Is there a way to back up audible to avoid the digital book burners? #Farenheit451
