Hey @walker , @HODL and @Laser , I have a serious question: Is it even possible to be a Christian and a statist at the same time? We all know that the state's coercion is seen as legit by the statists, otherwise it wouldn't be a state. However, this coercion is forbidden by God for all humans (see V and VII). We also all know that the state is comprised of just humans like you and me. The only logical conclusion from this is that: 1) Humans working for the state are not allowed to do their coercion because they are humans and have to abide by the ten commandments. Or, 2) Humans working for the state or the state itself are superhuman / Godly, so they are exempt from the rules for humans. Obviously #1 is the libertarian position and doesn't break any of the commandments, while # 2 is the statist position that breaks the 1st (and arguably the most important) commandment by definition. Could it be possible that the world is such a mess, because 99% of the humans (including even most Christians) consistantly break the 1st Commandment, which leads to the violation of V and VII on a massive industrial scale? Can a real Christian even be a statist? I don't think so.... #religion #Christianity #libertarianism image
