So you can just bring water through security if you say it’s for medical purposes… Just tried it on my way to Vegas and TSA gave me a hard time until I said it was for a medical condition. They tested it in 20 seconds and I was on my way. No plastic bottle, no fluoridated airport tap water… I’ll be doing this every time I travel.

"I'm running late" "I don't have time" I'm "on the clock." Why are we all living in a rush? What happens when we re-assess our relationship with TIME itself? I just ordered @Scott Dedels new book, The Age of Time. Excited to dive deeper into this topic.

Voice to text functionality has gotten so good that it doesn’t make sense to type with your hands anymore. Plus, you can use your phone/computer without staring straight at the flickering blue light screen. Anyone else find themselves doing more voice notes and voice to text ?

I came across a notecard from 8 years ago that I wrote to my future self: A reminder for when you fail. -a failure is a setup for a comeback -a failure is an opportunity to grow -when you persevere to get success, it feels that much.m better Failure is inevitable. It’s how to react that defines your life.

An American investment banker was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them. The Mexican replied, “only a little while”. The American then asked why didn’t he stay out longer and catch more fish? The Mexican said he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs. The American then asked, “but what do you do with the rest of your time?” The Mexican fisherman said, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siestas with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life.” The American scoffed, “I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing, and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually New York City, where you will run your expanding enterprise.” The Mexican fisherman asked, “But, how long will this all take?” To which the American replied, “15 – 20 years.” “But what then?” Asked the Mexican. The American laughed and said, “That’s the best part. When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions!” “Millions – then what?” The American said, “Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your (grand)kids, take siestas with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.” -Author Unknown

The fiat mindset is how do I make more money to outsource more tasks so I can work more? The bitcoin mindset is how do I do it myself, control my time and build skills in the process?

I never understood the destructive capacity of small omissions and half truths. Not being 100% forthcoming/ truthful has tremendous consequences. To this day, I almost always took the path of least resistance in my relationships. But delaying hard conversations has led to failure in both my professional and personal life. I’m now 31 years old and officially turning the page on the childish “I don’t want to deal with it” mentality. A grown man embraces challenge and doesn’t shy away from the truth, even if it is painful or uncomfortable.
