The fiat mindset is how do I make more money to outsource more tasks so I can work more?
The bitcoin mindset is how do I do it myself, control my time and build skills in the process?

Podcast today was a good one on creativity, bitcoin, art and decision making. Publishing Monday.

Today is a holiday I don’t celebrate anymore. Could not be happier about it.
I never understood the destructive capacity of small omissions and half truths.
Not being 100% forthcoming/ truthful has tremendous consequences.
To this day, I almost always took the path of least resistance in my relationships. But delaying hard conversations has led to failure in both my professional and personal life.
I’m now 31 years old and officially turning the page on the childish “I don’t want to deal with it” mentality. A grown man embraces challenge and doesn’t shy away from the truth, even if it is painful or uncomfortable.

This bike has been there for me so many times. No other item I own has provided more joy and mental therapy.

The most important question that I have ever asked myself is,
what do you want?
Without clarity on this question, everything else in life becomes meaningless or potentially destructive.
There’s also a lot of pressure from external sources to influence your answer to this question.
This past week, I realized my lack of clarity on this question is causing major problems in my life.
Hard pill to swallow but the truth is nobody is going to come help me figure this out. There’s no reason to point fingers. I take full responsibility for where I’m at and for that reason I’m taking a gram of mushrooms and going to the forest.
@Jor I thought this was you

Reflecting on my trip to Kenya. This past week has changed how I understand bitcoin.
It probably justifies a full length podcast, exploring many of the observations and experiences, but a few quick things to share:
1. Most people I spoke with used Bitcoin before learning about it or understanding it. Kenya implemented digital currency pre 2010 with m-Pesa, so the hurdle to using bitcoin is very low. Some folks do not have identification or access to traditional banking, and when they find out bitcoin has lower fees than m-Pesa it becomes obvious.
2. Women are the most effective at community building. As @Bitcoin Biashara said during our interview, if you want to build community, involve women. In the US bitcoin is a male dominated space and I think we could benefit from taking a page out of their book.
3. Outside support goes a long ways in East Africa. Organization like @Blink Wallet @Fedi Trezor and of course, @My First Bitcoin have supported events and projects leading to tangible, measurable impact. From a link purchasing @EcoBitz a hand truck to transport glass bottles, to @Fedi providing accessible internet and helping to build physical infrastructure… @Afribit Kibera educating young women… there’s just so much to be stoked about.
In the coming days, I will be sharing more and the film we shot will be released in mid June.
If you want to attend the premiere, get tickets to the unconference in Prague hosted by my first bitcoin. One day before @BTC Prague
I made fun of people with TDS for years… now I see they were onto something. Trump is going to go down in history as the worst president the US has ever had. I voted for the guy 6 months ago and at this point he has become such a disgrace I actually think we would be better off with Kamla or sleepy joe.

A few snaps from yesterday. We visited @Bitcoin Biashara and @EcoBitz in Mitaboni.
Kelvin, the found of EcoBitz is turning glass bottles into sats, reducing waste and supporting the local youth. Such an awesome dude and glad to spend the day learning about how bitcoin is transforming his life.
