Went surfing at Sunzal/Tunco today. Awesome wave for learning and nice vibe despite being pretty crowded. Meanwhile bitcoin price is dumping? IMO bitcoin gives us the opportunity to not worry about having a second job as a financial manager, and just live our lives. image

@PUBPAY.me makes it possible to zap speakers during their talks! @Efrat Fenigson crushing it teaching us about CBDCs and why we need grassroots bitcoin adoption. It is the bitcoin builders who will take us to the bright orange future. @Francis Mars

I know it’s cringe to tell anyone what to engage with on Nostr, but…. If we want Nostr to grow we bitcoiners should engage with non-bitcoin related content here. Anyone finding Nostr who isn’t a bitcoiner is here for a reason- whether they understand it or not.

Hating on bitcoin gets boosted on Twitter because bitcoiners interact with it. Sometimes I can’t help it either but typically when I see bitcoin FUD I think to myself, “HFSP” and then I close twitter and open Nostr.

BTC Balkans 2025- @Nackoo2000 had a vision for a bitcoin only event that unites the Balkans countries and rejects fiat. 7 Balkan countries attended, @MUSQET and @Blockstream sponsored and the presentations/panels were fantastic. If you want to build on bitcoin, smaller regional conferences are the way to make lasting connections.

My first bitcoin conference was Sofia, Bulgaria 2024. Since then I’ve been to more than ten and have moved more of my time and energy towards bitcoin as a result. Here’s a quick take on why smaller conferences are higher signal and why you should join us in Bulgaria this month! BTCBalkans.com

A friend of mine @LukeMikic21 just had his 4 YouTube channels shut down out of the blue. His entire business and 6 years of building rug pulled with no explanation other than “dangerous information.” Not your platform, not your business… content creators need to be resilient and own their businesses.

After two weeks eating carnivore I threw in the towel. Added eggs, yogurt, cheese and fruit back into the mix. Probably didn’t do it right still drinking coffee and maybe another week or two I would have felt better but it was a good experiment. Digestion was great. I never felt bloated or tired. 2 meals a day in an 8 hour eating window was quite doable. Easier to intermittently fast than with carbs. Sugar and carb cravings were only significant day 1-2 after that I didn’t notice them. The biggest challenge was feeling sluggish riding bikes and climbing. I didn’t have the same drive to get after it. I understand this is normal and maybe it changes after getting fully into ketosis but it was too much of a sacrifice with the last days of beautiful weather here in the PNW to be feeling physically weak. Mental energy was great, maybe better than when eating normally. My girlfriend, who has had rheumatoid arthritis for the past few years has been doing great with it and has significantly decreased inflammation. I am currently not allowed to eat my yogurt + fruit dessert around her… understandable. Overall I can see how carnivore is a great tool for dealing with gut/autoimmune issues and losing weight/cutting fat but I’m not convinced it’s optimal for high-level fitness especially endurance.

Carnivore day eight, I am starting to think this diet is optimal for a more sedentary lifestyle. I haven’t had nearly the same energy during my bike rides or bouldering sessions. I will remain open minded for another two weeks but very unlikely I stick with his diet long-term.

Carnivore day 5. I’m not giving up before the end of September but I’m definitely feeling suboptimal. Mentally energized but physically exhausted. Carb/sugar cravings were only significant on day 1. Slept a little better and woke up less tired today. Onward.

First teaser for my documentary, Build on Bitcoin. 5 weeks into post production, still a long ways to go but here’s a little peek into the film. I can’t say we’re going to win an Oscar but I can tell you it’s going to be unlike any bitcoin documentary out there.

Thought provoking article by @Alekandar Svetski read by @Guy Swann - Nostr Unpopular Opinions https://fountain.fm/episode/3kPZnWhUX2SIKJg2x6Bd My main takeaway is that 99.9% of people don’t care about the “tech.” Nobody knows what a protocol is and why it matters… Therefore the entrepreneur’s job is to use Nostr as a tool to bring real value and solve problems for people rather than conform to the protocol at all costs. I learned something similar when interviewing the guys at @npub1a0gc...dw7g - they found a gap in the market and simply solved restaurants’ problems, reinforcing their products/services with bitcoin/nostr rather than make them the center of the business itself. Bullish on @Satlantis: Social Events and Nostr nonetheless. Svetski makes some very good points here and this will certainly trigger the hardcore Nostr users 👌

The reason why filmmaking, storytelling or even podcasting are powerful tools is not because they can logically explain something. It is because they can make you feel something.

Day 3 on the carnivore diet- slept poorly and woke up quite tired. Found out I’m technically not doing it fully by drinking coffee but I don’t care, I am not giving up coffee, or nicotine for that matter.
