After two weeks eating carnivore I threw in the towel. Added eggs, yogurt, cheese and fruit back into the mix. Probably didn’t do it right still drinking coffee and maybe another week or two I would have felt better but it was a good experiment.
Digestion was great. I never felt bloated or tired. 2 meals a day in an 8 hour eating window was quite doable. Easier to intermittently fast than with carbs.
Sugar and carb cravings were only significant day 1-2 after that I didn’t notice them.
The biggest challenge was feeling sluggish riding bikes and climbing. I didn’t have the same drive to get after it. I understand this is normal and maybe it changes after getting fully into ketosis but it was too much of a sacrifice with the last days of beautiful weather here in the PNW to be feeling physically weak. Mental energy was great, maybe better than when eating normally.
My girlfriend, who has had rheumatoid arthritis for the past few years has been doing great with it and has significantly decreased inflammation. I am currently not allowed to eat my yogurt + fruit dessert around her… understandable.
Overall I can see how carnivore is a great tool for dealing with gut/autoimmune issues and losing weight/cutting fat but I’m not convinced it’s optimal for high-level fitness especially endurance.

In business, passion only gets you so far.
I actually like Dennis Porter as a person. Met him and his brother in El Salvador and he’s truly a nice guy. But the announcement of a “pro-bitcoin” candidate for Governor of California doesn’t deliver on the hype he created.
The story of the boy who cried wolf comes to mind… clickbait doesn’t work on bitcoiners.
Trust is risk.
One of the biggest takeaways from listening to Jeff Booth:
Technology = winner take most.
Protocols = winner take all.
To fully understand Jeff’s perspective, you must let go of the Fiat conditioning.
Bitcoin is not “going up”- the entire premise of NGU technology only applies in the fiat standard era.
1 BITCOIN = 1 bitcoin.
Just a few thoughts on my morning walk. Had some good conversations with friends this past weekend who have fallen for the digital assets/shitcoin narratives… it’s not easy to get past such deeply held beliefs about how money works.
Sadly, I believe pain will be a better teacher than me.
When I first came across Dr. Judy Woods work on directed energy weapons use during 9/11 I realIed my understanding had holes in it.
PBD does a terrible job interviewing but in my opinion Dr Wood has the best thesis out there on how the trade centers came down.

Fishing in the Puget Sound today. Perfect weather no chems you gotta love it.

Remember when you wanted what you have right now.
Probably my favorite thumbnail
for the pod. Tried to make it seem like Trudeau is holding the syringe 🤣

Fleeing Canada is something I never thought I would hear… but it’s 2025 and that’s where we’re at.
This week’s pod is a wild story with tons of valuable information regarding circular economies, building businesses and living in alignment with your values.
Spicy thumbnail for this one too👌
I’ve been sailing this little sunfish since I was 10. Never gets old.
Not much wind today however.

$6 for a pound ground beef is such a blessing. Most people spend $6 on a bag of chips and a soda these days.
Carnivore day eight, I am starting to think this diet is optimal for a more sedentary lifestyle. I haven’t had nearly the same energy during my bike rides or bouldering sessions. I will remain open minded for another two weeks but very unlikely I stick with his diet long-term.

Spending bitcoin is what makes it real. HODLing, aka watching a number of a screen is lame, imo.
Making progress on the film. First scene rough cut complete. Learning a lot in the process and excited to see how other scenes come together. Stretching my brain during this phase makes editing much more enjoyable than just cutting unusable footage and organizing. Onward!
One of my neighbors threw a block party today. Kids playing in the street, burgers, lawn chairs… It was a reminder how nice it is to get away from the noise online and just connect with neighbors.
My brain works at about 60% capacity if I do not work out in the morning.
Carnivore day 5. I’m not giving up before the end of September but I’m definitely feeling suboptimal. Mentally energized but physically exhausted.
Carb/sugar cravings were only significant on day 1. Slept a little better and woke up less tired today.
Onward.
