This is true.
And I’ll add, I believe everyone is a leader; starting with themselves.
The heirarchy is really this:
1. God
2. Self
3. Family
4. Others (neighbors, community, team/biz) View quoted note →

Leaders must be careful to talk WITH people and not to, at, over, or under them.
Leadership = Relationships
Just said no to a prospective client.
It’s a major red flag, especially in the crypto space, when the second sentence out of a potential client’s mouth is “But I have to be clear that I don’t plan to do something for the long run.” [Mostly just launch after launch]
To which I replied:
“Got it.
So I appreciate your transparency.
Likewise from me, I’m not interested in short term pamps.
1. The clients I have I usually work with for a year or more, and
2. Integrity/ethos wise; I’m not into pump and dumps. I don’t think that’s ethical so I’d not be a good team member for you.”
Bitcoin has taught me a lot!

I can foresee a future wherein my old phones/devices become “leave at home” sweep wallets / cold storage for ecash, lightning, and BTC wallets.
When I leave the house I’ll make sure my “travel wallet” is loaded with a similar amount of ecash that I plan to spend that day or am comfortable losing if my phone is lost/stolen.
Then if so, I’d have cash at home in my safe (old devices).
And ideally wallets building “lock” features such as (I think Muun has this coming) where if a device is lost or stolen, you can remotely lock the wallet or sweep it back home.
Anyways…looking forward to private transactions becoming my regular life.
@YakiHonne is the Recent feed the same as a Latest feed?
I’ve noticed many people I follow have posted within the last 24h and when I go to their profile o see their Notes,
But in my YakiHonne Recent feed, their content is absent.
So is recent a curation of the chronological or is it pure chronological?
If pure chronological, why are many people’s Notes not being show to me in my Recent feed?

I’d be in favor of having sats attached to an email…like a postage stamp.
If it’s that important for you to email me (and I, you) require a few sats to do so,
We could set rules for family and friends or trusted business colleagues so they aren’t required to send sats or maybe on 1 sat.
But if it’s a marketing email or similar…100 sats to get through to my inbox…or whatever number is painful for them and makes me giddy enormously go to open it! View quoted note →
This is really the point! View quoted note →
I can totally see this happening, and probably sooner that one thinks.
Although…if a business is smart enough to stack BTC, will they too be dumb enough to sell? Strictly for….what…fiat?
I don’t think many private companies would do this but I could see public companies selling for the ignorance of the board or founders cashing in lifestyle chips…
To which I’d argue if that is the reason, the founder never understood BTC and was in it strictly for the trade and not the ethos or the relationship. View quoted note →

You know what to do #grownostr
While this makes sense, we are not yet at the stage of adoption where exclusive content can be exclusive…
We have to meet people where they are.
Truth is some people will never come to NOSTR.
Some will never own Bitcoin.
Heck, most don’t even self-custody their health let alone their money or digital identity.
I cross post becasue 99% of my audience, read relationships…are slow to adopt and won’t have the fortitude to onboard to NOSTR at this time.
Now…does that mean I shouldn’t or don’t post NOSTR only content? No, as I do.
In fact when I do write content as of late I’ve been posting to NOSTR first and when I cross post that content has a byline “first posted to NOSTR” and a link to the article.
Likewise on I declare NOSTR is my social platform of choice.
I think to your point, we can and should have bonus (exclusive) content on NOSTR that has at least partial intent to bring new users to the protocol, but there is a lot of nuance to being “exclusively exclusive”.
Contextually I love it!
But it’s going to depend in large part on one’s audience as to how this idea is executed. View quoted note →
