I think one of my favorite reasons I enjoy coffee on the morning on a cool crisp morning (in Florida!) is becasue it reminds me of my time in Portugal. I’d wake up. Peer out the window onto the backyard garden and hill side wooden door which led to the family I was staying with’s, generational wine cellar. (They made a great sparkling rosè, and I’m not a rosè guy, I love a good Merlot) Anyways, besides making wine at home once I returned, which I no longer do… I do have a nice garden and the hillside is replaced with some woods. Cool Good Mornings with coffee on the porch… That’s the good life right there! Today is a day of “one step at a time”. This project I’m working on has me in the weeds so it’s time to slow down and focus only on that current step which is in front of me. Anymore than that and progress is halted. Literally inch by inch today. And proably tomorrow too. Then we come up for air and reassess. Should be able to see progress by then!

Often when I see these types of situations I think to myself “man we are so blessed” with the unspoken part [that we don’t have to deal with that..] Today God hit me upside the head and humbled me a little because the fact is this father and son are blessed too! And just by the simple fact of how the dad is helping his son overcome adversity; I know 1. Our God in Heaven is doing the same for us [me] 2. This dad must have the same reaction as I did “man I’m so blessed” but with the proper heart posture in order to be able to help his son.
