DJI are great. I had an issue with my new Osmo battery grip for the Action 5 and had to send the whole lot back on Friday last week. They received it on Monday and sent out a replacement the very same day. So impressed!
DHL customs on the other hand withheld my parcel for a couple of days for no reason other than bureaucracy (thanks Brexit) and I had to make several calls to sort it out.
Anyway have got it now and will start producing video content again, starting with a lunchtime walk today.
Let’s see what I can show you from around here that is easy to reach from my front door.
First of all - food!!

Getting back to some sound design. Stacks is a new iOS app, in fact it’s also available for desktop too, so you can run in Ableton with ease. It’s a synth, sampler by which you can stack samples and granular synth.
It’s very cool.
Jumping into my photo library to find something to share…. Now let’s see….
Ah yes. I love beachcombing from a photography perspective and if I find rubbish, I pop it in a bag to throw away somewhere sensible. I could do a series of these.
Plus must return to my bridges of London series, might get some time for that soon.

Various people in our neighbourhood saw the borealis last night. Going to hide under a rock and cry. Always bloody miss it!!!
The site of the windmill, Battle of Naseby 1645. Marked by this impressive monument today. The view from this point goes for miles and miles and there is bit of an atmosphere there; I could imagine the battle cries, the clashing of hundreds of men and the tension of the English Civil War there.

Amongst my camera gear I have an Insta360 X3 and this is an export from a 360 degree photo, flattened out which is pretty cool.
It got me thinking that it’s possible to remotely trigger the camera, so next time I’m out, I can mount it on its monopod on top of a regular tripod and take a shot, so that I don’t appear in it holding the camera.
Worth a try.

Shit! Where’s my other leg and foot? I love these accidental photos, that you didn’t intend to capture!

I’m looking at a way I can create an action for the Drafts app on iOS that will post a note made there to Nostr. Will share my experiences with this here if it works.
I know someone has been working on an integration with Obsidian which also looks interesting.
It’s kind of funny that the Nostr “mascot” is an Ostrich because when I was a kid I was followed by an Ostrich. Please bear in mind that it was inside its enclosure at Bristol zoo and I was outside but my parents have been forever amused by this, the curious creature was extremely fascinated by five year old me and I wasn’t too sure at all!
Ever since, this now extends to my wife and kids, “hey Nick there’s an Ostrich!”
I wouldn’t want to be chased by one that is for sure!! In the wild that is!!
I’m going to have a look into this, sounds handy, want to move my friends away from Telegram

The beach at Portmeirion in North Wales stretches forever but is not a bucket and spade location for the family and kids. The tide here can come back in very fast and it would be extremely easy to get stranded on a sandbank.
It’s absolutely stunning though, as is the picture postcard yet bizarre town itself.

The colours are starting to change, autumn is on its way and I reckon here in the UK it will suddenly really kick in. Many trees around here are still rather green.

I’m pleased to say that posting images seems more stable in this version of Primal
Nice work guys!
The other night we were walking back from a circular walk we’d taken when we saw this. Holy fuck! UFOs, hundreds of them. I am just kidding of course! Someone was running a drone swarm about two miles away and being a drone owner myself, I have Drone Assist installed and managed to track the activity.
I don’t know whether this was an event or a company using the space at Swallowfield Park for a practice run/training session?
There were various designs going up including a fighter jet, the CAA (which stands for Civil Aviation Authority here in England) and this one, Buckingham Palace maybe?

Playing with the brilliant EG nodes app on my iPad and shall share some audio with soon folks.

Spotted this today on the Grand Union canal, Foxton Locks. Made me chuckle.

Brixworth Saxon Chirch, Northamptonshire dates back to 680AD, though the current building is mostly 14th/16th century.
