I really like having different nostr clients on each of my devices. It makes using nostr more interesting, and allows to get a better feel for the strength and weakness of each client. Going forward, I expect clients to only get better through competition, which will give the end user more quality choices. Definitely a huge strength over the centralized panopticons at Twitter & co.

The August 2023 Twitter experience : -“For you” feed is high noise, low signal experience intended to manipulate your feelings to you think in a certain way. -“Following” feed now has Ads every other post, posted through blue checked shills advertising pure scams (NFTs/shitcoins/drop shipped crap). -Every semi-interesting post has replies filled by ultra low value posts from blue checked shills farming engagement/views to get their $100 wire. Until a few weeks ago I could still curate a “following” feed with interesting people / high signal posts, but these days are clearly over. It’s a shame because I’d say 80% of the people I follow on Twitter aren’t on nostr (or they’re here but not active). I hope we can get more “famous” people like @jack @Lyn Alden and others using nostr as their “genuine” social media platform so we can get more traction and go for a snowball effect, so we can finally ditch the panopticon Twitter has become.

I have nothing against Guatemala, however with the advance in technology, general knowledge and communication systems, seeing the White House and 3 letters agency using strategies created for gaslighting a 1950 under-developed country on its own citizen is both extraordinarily brazen, and sadly very telling about the state of the USA and its people. The anti-hero and learning to be cruel.

Ever since I decided to remove filters in the way I speak and the way I act with people, I've seen two kind of reactions: -People turning inwards, being defensive, annoyed, even outright angry at the way I spoke with them. -People turning outwards, their eyes shining, their mind opening, considering different ways of thinking than before. It's ok to be politically correct/walk the corporate line in our daily lives with people we don't know or don't align with, however this is just an act than cannot be played in our private lives. Even though friends don't always agree (and sometimes do not even agree to disagree), I strongly believe more people should try to remove the gloves when they speak and interact with the people they care about. We will lose friends along the way, which are the people turning deeply inwards, however I find that opening yourself up deepens the relationships you have with the persons turning outwards, and lets us experience way more fulfilling, even enlightening relationships.
