We seem to have missed one of our own milestones recently… As of Nodestrich’s third birthday just a few days ago, we now rank third out of all @Amboss communities! (It also appears that Amboss has been doing some housekeeping and weeding out dead nodes.) That’s all Nostriches, building and joining one by one. Keep going! 🔥 image
Hard to believe, but #Nodestrich is entering its third year! We started in January 2023 as an experiment to find all the noderunners and would-be noderunners on #Nostr, and give them a place to learn and connect. We’re thrilled to have so many on board, and there’s always room for more. Check out our TG group or @Amboss community page to learn more. View quoted note →
If this can accomplish the goal of becoming a true Telegram replacement, the Nodestrich group will adopt it. We always wanted our group to be Nostr-only, but the tools to communicate effectively as a group didn’t exist at the time. View quoted note →
Nodestrich only needs four more plebs with Lightning nodes to join and we'll be ranked fifth on @Amboss in the top row. 🔥 image
If you’re the #Nodestrich @Amboss group but you aren't using our Telegram channel, you’re welcome to join. It’s optional, but full of signal. Why don’t we use #Nostr or #SimpleX for this? Great question, we get this frequently. The answer is that this is still the easiest way to handle real-time group chats. Hopefully, native tools will be built that allow us to eliminate centralized services, but for now, it’s still early.
After all that noise, they never could change the code. This is why we run a node.
Who are the new #Nostr Lightning noderunners here? We want to meet you!
Nodestriches, check out our friends at @LN⚡Server. They’re a great resource for noderunners who need to get inbound channels quickly! @note1t7hq5vwpa2dae9c20c7hwcp93y8z022a4uehx5a50hzqpey7v69s2tnf6n
