image GM, Nostr. We are now doing extensive testing across all builds and supported operating systems for Vector v0.4.0. We have officially opened up Quality Control Testing for anyone interested. You do not need developer experience. You just need to be running the latest version, which we will provide from GitHub. If you are interested in helping to test, share feedback, suggestions, and bug finding, please leave a comment below or drop your npub so that we can add you to the official QC Testing Group Chat on Vector where we will provide all the steps and you can connect with other testers and community members to share feedback. For any other questions, feel free to message @JSKitty or @YuurinBee on Vector directly. We welcome anyone and everyone who wants to get involved. For those of you who have been around and requested many features, we think you will be quite pleased to see how well we listen and take action. We do our best to prioritize feedback and requests while we are developing Vector. For this latest release, everyone asked "wen remote signing", "wen multi-account", and "wen iOS". You will be happy to find that we have implemented 2/3 of those, as iOS is simply planned for later in this year. GitHub Pre-Release Build: Thank you all. We have a week's worth of testing and polish before the biggest release to date for Vector, officially planned for June 1st and we hope you join us. 💚

Vector is now listed on nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0! image We are grateful and honored to finally be listed and available for the preferred and "go-to" app store for Nostr users. Thanks everyone for your patience, we know a lot of you all kept asking us "wen". Our goal was to optimize and improve a lot of features on Android before publishing, as first impressions can be everything. Probably not as much here on Nostr, as most of us are builders, developers, and used to working with experimental technology in its early stages. Regardless, it was a seamless experience and one of the best app stores that we have used. The UX/UI is beautiful, intuitive, and just easy to understand and navigate. We are certainly sold on Zapstore.dev and will be promoting and sharing with others to check out. Check it out yourself: image Feel free to sign in to Zapstore.dev and leave a comment or review for Vector. We'd love to hear your honest feedback and takes. We are still in Open Beta, v0.3.3 just released yesterday, but making great strides... especially with the support from the Nostr community. 💚

image Many people fall under the illusion that because a company markets their app as "private" or uses fancy buzzwords like "end-to-end encryption" or "secure" that it is what was promised. We have found time and time again that these are blatant lies to ultimately and immorally grow their userbase and hopes at quicker financial success. Understand some of the degrees of privacy that actually make apps private. There are degrees of privacy as there are degrees of decentralization and just about everything. In this infographic by Formless Labs it breaks down degrees of privacy for messenger apps on each column: - Decentralized - Metadata Privacy - No KYC - Group E2EE - Self Hosting Obvious benefits many people enjoy are also no advertisements and the fact that apps are free (and hopefully open-source). Any suggestions on other fields or degrees of privacy that should be added? Let us know!
