The enshittification of traditional messengers and communication platforms are what inspired us to create Vector and thankfully discover Nostr. These are the precise types of reasons below why people must learn to deny any measure of KYC. Many of the challenges are not just technical, but social. People will continue to go to apps where their friends, family, work teams, etc. are. This is up to us to help get the messaging out that there are alternatives. Additionally, it is also why Vector remains adamant about supporting other privacy messengers, especially here on Nostr. Let the people choose what works best for their needs, but give them choices. What's the point of having Freedom Tech if 90% of your real connections and network are still on traditional surveillanceware?

We've made sharing and adding new contacts even easier with QR. Profile > QR Button > Share No, it's not a groundbreaking new feature, but it is one that drastically improves the user experience. Many of you since the beginning have suffered without this feature. We are happy to make your life easier with these custom Vector QR Codes and thank you for your patience. It also makes it a lot easier in real life to add family, friends, and new contacts at events, meetups, and in general.

🟩 v0.4.2 Sneak Preview Message Composer getting a new makeover! You will now be able to write your messages with markdown to see a live preview of how they will appear in real time, no more guessing and editing. For those of you who details matter, this update is for you!

💣 Ephemeral Message Teaser Commonly referred to as: "Self-Destructing" "Disappearing" "Vanquishing" "Ephemeral" Messages that auto-delete once a set time interval passes (Ex: 10 seconds, 1 minute, 1 day). We've had this feature planned since the beginning, but it just took some time to implement due to the long backlog of other features. We will be releasing the first iteration in v0.4.1 soon™ (can already test on the v0.4.1 Pre-Release on GitHub). Thanks to everyone who suggested this nice privacy feature, you will be able to use it soon.
