Enjoying it with a friend, then coming back home around midnight to make espresso and crank out a 2 hour UX session on @V E C T O R v0.5.0 with @JSKitty Can't express how excited I am for what is to coming in the next couple of months here for us, Vector users, and everyone. 20 months into development and I can begin to see more clearly what it looks like to rely on this infrastructure for a majority of social interactions online. For many months, I've had more activity in my Vector client than I have in Discord, but that's also because after this last bear I think people who had been around forever in crypto even left (Discord + Telegram). :kek: Since 2017, this is the first big pivot in tech for me that had nothing to do directly with blockchain and crypto. Yes, there are underlying themes and commonalities, but also a standalone focus on privacy and freedom tech. Feels good to have made the leap into a new territory, but also not entirely new (Privacy, FOSS). Anyways, I just like documenting steps along the way for anyone that is interested. There are a lot of people on the outside who just see apps, websites, and projects and just think they are lucky and successful and you don't really get to see a lot behind the scenes, the late hours, the struggles, the problems, the challenges, the day-to-day, and people often only highlight their small and large victories. Today, it's just an update, but if you are building something my only advice to you is learn to enjoy the process. GM Nostriches! We've been steady improving the overall @V E C T O R experience, especially on mobile, and working hard to get it towards more of a universal standard that you and the world are already familiar with. Yes, there is still a long ways to go, but we are enjoying the journey and certainly enjoying it with all of you like-minded privacy and freedom tech lovers. You guys have made this experience for @JSKitty and myself much more rewarding. For about the past 18+ months, we have been using Vector daily for communications and though it is not ideal just yet for the full Vector workflow, the next big step will accommodate that need and also open up many doors with v0.5.0 (desktop widescreen). In my perspective, this will become the means in which I connect to a good portion of the web for my personal online experience. Once it is ready, it will be a universal nexus for everything social: private comms for DMs, private group chats, public and private communities, bots, plugins/add-ons, games, and much more. No, this isn't just saying that, we already have functional, early iterations that have been working for months towards a year at this point. If you've been around, you know precisely what I'm talking about. I highly look forward to this chapter of Vector, where people can truly customize their own experiences, exactly how they want. The main release was v0.4.2, but we discovered a Tor connectivity issue right after the release and patched it shortly after with v0.4.3. Liquid Layers 💦 Design Concept for Today Seems feedback was most well received on this design with some of the line breaks, where it makes the middle layer appear to be floating between. Added some colors, many great gradients to choose from, but I wanted it to retain the resemblance of a water drop, which is why I played with blue tones. Still experimenting with the typography styles.

GM, Nostr ⚡ Running these BitAxe Gammas (602 Model) for more than one year straight now and noticed 2 of them finally declined slightly for their expected hashrate to about 50-60%. Got some isopropanol and new thermal paste, but upgraded them to the latest firmware and restarted and now they are working perfectly. Over prepared lmao, sometimes it is really that easy. Think it's time to add to the collection. Suggestions?

I will always value more the person that comes with the right mindset, right intention, and willingness to help even if what they have to offer is of "lesser value". There are many things you cannot buy in this life and one of them is good moral character. Not everyone is in a position to help or can contribute, nor is it ever expected, but it is always appreciated. This is the true nature of open-source culture to me. It isn't just an online or digital thing, it is how life works. We as people make a community and one of the best ways to find yourself is in service to something larger than your own personal interests. Unfortunately, it is apparent to me the majority of people haven't discovered this and they also tend to be more bitter and less happy... spending more time tearing something down instead of helping to build it up or simply just ignore it. About 2-3 weeks after the latest v0.4.0 release and we are well over 100+ commits and finalizing the last bits of v0.4.1. Most of these updates are the bugs and issues that you all have reported, along with more UX polish for desktop and mobile. Above is the latest design concept for the upcoming Bug Hunter Badge and it will be unique in 2 regards. 1. First time we are implementing a tiered badge (Level 1, 2, 3), as previously they are just simple badges, you have it or you don't. 2. We are introducing the gamification system into Vector now where owning certain badges will grant certain perks and benefits into some Premium features. Since the QC Testing for v0.4.0 there is a handful of you who have earned this badge, even Tier 3, and we look forward to distributing them and testing them with you all for the next QC Testing Round for v0.4.1, but most importantly... thank you. We appreciate everyone's support early on and dedication to help make Vector great.
