My natural tendency to not trust led me to Bitcoin. Others run when they see the price swing 10% in a few hours – then come back when things settle. But price and volatility are just noise. I keep trying to come up with simple ways to explain why #bitcoin is a worthy investment. Here’s another attempt, thoughts?: The US Dollar, the strongest currency, is literally designed to debase (lose value) because of its 2% inflation target. The US Dollar is mathematically designed to go down in value while Bitcoin is designed to go up in value with its fixed supply. I still don’t think I’m there but still trying… more detail: This means the fed WANTS to print *just enough* dollars to maintain inflation at 2%. Let’s assume their metric for inflation is right (it’s not), that means BY DESIGN, the dollar is scheduled to lose at least 2%. Guaranteed. At 2% per year, your wealth in US Dollars loses half its purchasing power in 35 years.
