Assume everything you do on Nostr is and will be publicly viewable AND traceable forever. I highly recommend: 1) always use a VPN or Tor 2) use a nym The WILD shit people post on here with their account name that at least seems to use their real name first and last name is insane.
GM! “Great by choice” is one of the best business books of all time. In the first chapter they describe how the most successful CEOs don’t give a shit about conventional wisdom or their peers opinions. They do their own research by going to first hand sources of empirical data, and work from there with “fanatic discipline”. Their actions and strategies may seem crazy to the outside world who never research anything themselves, but instead blindly accept what they’re told and follow conventional wisdom which gives them average results. Bitcoiners, sound familiar?
I would truly pay +100% more for a grocery store where all suspected or proven endocrine disrupters (BPA, “forever chemicals”, etc), preservatives, glyphosate, antibiotics, corn syrup, artificial colors, and other obvious unhealthy ingredients were just totally banned from the whole store. I hate having to research and spend time on labels to try and figure this shit out on my own since the government forces BIG Food’s poisons on us. Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s seem to do a half decent job of this, but I want somewhere that goes much further and stricter.
Microplastics are terrifying. My family has gone to no disposable plastic or paper cups and only filtered water because of this. “Paper” cups almost always have a plastic liner, so with every Starbucks you’re drinking plastic sadly.
For Americans, dual citizenship is mostly expensive and pointless fear porn. As the US extraditing Roger Ver for not paying an unconstitutional exit tax shows, a powerful government can still chase you abroad. Privacy and opsec are much more important. However if you live in a country with weak overseas power projection, I can see it being somewhat valuable. However, a focus on basic privacy is time and energy much better spent and wildly cheaper.
Oil is down to $66 a barrel but most people on the west coast of the US are paying roughly $5 a gallon for gas. My family in the Midwest and southern US pay about $3. Could someone please explain to me again how more government regulation solves problems and the free market is evil?
