BTW, #gold is more sensitive to bubbling and popping than #bitcoin . Let me explain. People FOMO into gold the same way they FOMO into Bitcoin. The difference is that once people FOMO into gold, they can’t do anything with it. They have to sell it to use it—because gold will never be a currency again. Not in the digital age. Not on the internet. Bitcoin, on the other hand, even when it enters bubble territory, can still function as a currency. It’s not widely accepted, but it can be used—and that very fact might even encourage more businesses to start accepting it. The probability that you could walk into a McDonald’s and pay with Bitcoin is far higher than with gold. Much, much higher. SH;SS

I don’t understand this guy. I can accept Ethereum becoming the new Wall Street—but why on earth does it need a token with a price? That’s like saying we should assign a market value to the hard drives storing stock market data. What are we even doing here? It’s not a perfect analogy, but hopefully sarcastic enough to get the point across.

The missing puzzle piece in #bitchat is notifications. If a user bookmarks a geohash, they should receive notifications when someone posts. We need to solve for the issue of coincidence of presence.
