Who thinks this BTC pump is for real and who thinks it's just a bear market rally? I personally have no fucking clue.

A challenge for nostr is that normies want more government regulation of social media, not less.
The United States was founded by anti-government activists.
One of our fiat businesses has been doing a lot of small international payments recently and something really stands out: There is one country with EXCELLENT Bitcoin and Lightning adoption..... SOUTH AFRICA.... A huge number of South Africans seem to both 1) totally understand BTC and Lightning 2) often use it day-to-day ......
@Damus Damus should be able to handle a `get_info` response from NWC, or at least ignore it without an error... this is probably something you could have an AI fix if you don't want to have a human fix it..... but it seems your AI closed the issue as "not planned"...

Bug: Error when receiving get_info response via NWC · Issue #3262 · damus-io/damus
This is a rather subtle bug and I'm not surprised that your testing hasn't caught it yet. It took me quite a few weeks of noticing it, being puzzle...
One of my fiat businesses is making a lot of payments recently and I'm trying to orange-pill as I go by asking the recipient of the payment to accept Bitcoin.
My main negotiating tactic is to show the Normie a screenshot of a the PayPal payment (they almost always want a paypal payment)... and show them how horrible the exchange rate is and how much PayPal is taking.
But -- I'm starting to think that the biggest barrier to Bitcoin adoption as payment tech is actually the "crypto" industry.
The problem is that, if you send a normie Bitcoin, he/she will immediately go onto an exchange to try to exchange it for fiat... and in the process, there is such huge likelihood that the exchange will be able to trick/confuse the Normie into some kind of "crypto" gambling thing... this only has to happen once, and the Normie will assume that the whole thing is a scam.

@Rizful.com and Megalithic.me users -- right now the megalithic.me website is down. Rizful seems fine. There is some kind of big internet-wide infrastructure issue going on right now. Will keep an eye on it..

what is the closest thing to a discord replacement that nostr currently has?
We are working on a campaign to onboard normies to Nostr. We need the most succinct possible page which is like "Make money from zaps by using Nostr!" -- this is the starting point --
-- if anyone has any comments/suggestions for this page pls let us know

Set up your first Rizful vault, choose a Lightning address, and connect a Nostr wallet so you can start receiving payments and zaps.
DNS issues seem to be fully fixed. Probably a lot of users might not have noticed an issue anyway -- if our IP addresse(s) were cached locally.
Rizful.com and Rizful NWC is experiencing intermittent downtime over the last hour or so. This is not related to our systems, but seems to be a (very rare) outage from our DNS provider -- you can see the status here:
Messing with DNS is not fun or recommended, and actually switching DNS often takes a few hours or days -- so we're going to "do nothing".
Apologies.

Bought at $70k, $66.5k… my memories of not buying when it went down $18k to $3.5k in 2018 are enough to keep me consistent on this…
