By my measure, activity on Lightning has increased significantly in the last 2 weeks. But probably not for the reason you think it has. Also, probably not for the reason I think it has.
That's what's fascinating about Lightning. Nobody REALLY knows where payments are coming from, or where they are going. They might have theories.... but those theories are probably wrong...

Around minute 40 there is a great discussion of “auditability vs privacy” tradeoffs:
...... something I hadn't fully conceptualized, but when it's explained like this, makes a lot of sense. Basically the L1 can't be fully private if you want anyone with limited storage and compute power to be able to audit it.
Privacy is a good job for L2, which is yet another great reason we should resist bad actors trying to centralize L2s like Lightning.

@OpenSats @ODELL Any organization that funds btc projects and cares about decentralization and privacy should immediately stop any support for Breez, Lightspark, Wallet Of Satoshi, CakeWallet, Blitz or any other bad actor who is supporting LightSpark's dangerous, zero-privacy, centralized solution... more details:
... that fact that OpenSats is giving money to Blitz and CakeWallet is just insane

The biggest adoption challenge for Lightning:
The Solana Foundation ....is currently printing USD billions per year out of thin air, and therefore can pay off everyone from Phantom Wallet to Venmo to advertise their token.
Solana's token is also fast to transfer, and works as a stablecoin.
Weirdly: Maybe Lightning needs a Democratic administration to win, and crack down on token scammers... Then it will be clear that Lightning is the real choice.
@YakiHonne looks like you have started blurring some images by default. How do I turn that off?

The problem is not AWS going down.
The problem is panicked developers putting in fixes at 2 AM that turn out to cause problems two days later.
@Rizful.com Apologies, due to an error on our end inbound zaps to Rizful users were not working for about 30 minutes yesterday, and also for about 30 minutes today, during the last 30 minutes. The issue has now been resolved. Thanks for your patience.
