For 70 years western civilisation has preached a rhetoric of peace, understanding, dialogue and tolerance. There are days i look out at the world and i see darkness, chaos and to quote Yeats "Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; mere anarchy is loosed upon the world." And there are much better days where i realise that the world gets it right, and produces such a sculpture of beauty that it stirs mens souls to bare any burden in the quest to slay the rough beast that is slouching towards bethlehem.
