One of the standout features in this release is the automatic validation of change outputs when signing Blockstream Green wallet 'Multisig Shield' PSBTs. This means you can sign transactions with confidence, knowing that Jade is double-checking the details to ensure your Bitcoin is going exactly where it should. This is especially useful when reorganizing your Bitcoin holdings or consolidating UTXOs. Jade will now highlight when a transaction output is verified as being sent back to the spending wallet.
Jade now alerts you if a PSBT or transaction doesn’t require a signature from your device, ensuring you’re always informed and in control during the signing process. This small but significant addition helps prevent unnecessary steps and keeps your workflow smooth.
User experience has also been refined. If you start entering your PIN and need to backtrack, you can now abandon the entry from the first digit—a simple tweak that makes a big difference in usability. And for those who enjoy DIY setups, Jade now supports 180-degree screen rotation, adding flexibility to your hardware configuration.
Developers and tinkerers will appreciate the new command-line interface tool for simple interaction and testing, along with experimental support for esp32s3 devices like the ttgo-tdisplayS3. These additions expand Jade’s versatility, making it even more adaptable to various needs and setups.
Visually, Jade’s Home and Camera/QRScan screens have been redesigned to enhance navigation and readability, making sure your operations are as intuitive and efficient as possible.
Security remains paramount. Jade now locks only when an active serial or BLE connection is lost, not when you’re simply unplugging for charging. This ensures your device remains secure without disrupting your routine. Under the hood, updates to the ESP-IDF base firmware and a switch to the esp_lcd graphics library further enhance performance and stability.
Fixes in this update include improved UI scaling on larger DIY displays, better handling of change outputs in registered descriptor policies, and correct display of confidential
