Good morning nostr, and happy saturday. Today we're planning "a day off", sorta. I want to go visit the once yearly herb and plant sale in Round Top nearby. They have herbs that i dont usually see in the nurseries. Dont know what i'll be picking up, we'll see. I'll also be on the lookout for a couple more mountain laurels. It should be a fun day. Good morning nostr, it'll be a busy one for me today. I'll be working a volunteer shift at the church kitchen this morning, then we have cabin guests checking in later. I've closed off the cabin for public bookings now, but this is one of the 2 that were already booked before i closed it. I feel like i made the right decision, just ready to move on to other things in my life. Hi nostr, today's weather was gorgeous, and i spent alot of time outside. We took a long walk with the dogs, making note of any trail maintenance we need to do. I finally got done gathering the tax paperwork, makes me mad every year. Anyway, its time to rest now, as i have a volunteer work shift tomorrow. Its a gorgeous sunny day, i've been outside looking at all the things waking up for spring. We have mulberries starting to come in, and the wild plantain in the fields is coming up. Nature does its thing regardless of all the human stupidity in the world. It comforts me. #spring #nature #countrylife
