Good night nostr, although temps werent too low today, we had a vicious, cold wind that made it uncomfortable to work outside. But i did make some progress on the fencing. On another note, i went ahead and paused my Airbnb listing of our cabin. We also have a website for it, and for now i'm leaving that up, since only returning guests book there. Its something i'd been thinking of doing for some time, mainly because i feel like it's not as enjoyable as it used to be. And i'd rather spend more time and energy doing other things around here. The cabin will stay busy with family visits still, plus direct bookings on our site. Anyway, just had to listen to my inner voice telling me its time to make a change. We bundled up and worked on the fence for a bit. I noticed some of the sections were sagging a little, so looked up on YT for a solution since we dont have any specialized tools for this. This technique actually works pretty well, and tightened it up. Just used some pliers and bent some of the sections, all the way up and down. About every 4-5 squares. Just in case anyone runs across this issue. #fencing #homesteading

Good morning nostr, i can hear the wind gusting very strongly outside, it even woke me up last night. So today i need to finish the cabin turnover before working on anything else. Lately i've been thinking i might stop doing the airbnb thing with our cabin, but not sure yet. When we got it, it was never intended as such, it was for visiting family. Of course we use it for family too, but something in the back of my head is telling me its time to unlist it. I still enjoy it, but not as much as i used to, so we'll see. Hey nostr, its time to call it a day. This morning i took some eggs to church, since we have extras right now. Folks really seem to appreciate them. Then i started cleaning at the cabin, and finished the day with a little progress on the fencing project. I got a couple blisters on my hands that i need to put some comfrey salve on, not sure how that happened since i was wearing gloves.
