We have one building in our neighborhood that is public housing and absolutely zero able bodied adults are working with about 7 kids per household. There is like half a dad wandering around the total of 6 units. Why is this compassionate or fair to anyone?

Had an international flight canceled today for the claim that there was some “missing paperwork”. Who knows the real story, but it obviously turned into a miserable day. People up since early in the morning, hot everywhere. Cattle herded into shuttles and taken to hotels 30 minutes away. Hour plus waits in sweltering lobbies to get a room. Hotel staff completely overwhelmed, an adjacent conference going on, people still don’t know when they will be leaving Italy to get back to the States, and the list of pain is endless. All this to say, you really get to see people’s true colors in these kinds of situations. Some people just took it in stride, hit the pool, enjoyed the sunset, or just relaxed. Others are incensed that they aren’t treated like movie stars at 5 star restaurants. Some ugly colors coming out of people. It’s out of your control, just adapt the best you can. Fiat rat race mindset obviously just exacerbates the whole situation. Sad to see.

We just need to not have the internet and such important things to do and then we could just make stuff like this. How anyone believes this is just beyond explanation.

Even my in laws have acknowledged the construction stories we have been told make absolutely no sense. You cannot make these things with hand tools and donkeys for transportation, and no electricity. What really happened is anyone’s guess, but slaves from conquered lands didn’t just throw these things together at the behest of an architect or two. Incredible tech existed an an alternative history absolutely happened.
