here’s a photo of a hanging anchor i put up many years ago. i took the photo because this was a big mental hurdle. i remember being pumped out and struggling to find solid pro in this wall. “when in doubt run it out” got me nearly to the end of my 70m rope. the nuts I had didn’t love the flare on the cracks, but the cam was bomber. this was probably pitch 4 or 5 on something in red rock canyon and one of my first big trad leads. speaking of knots, there are 3 different knots pictured here.
