Digit basically has no reason to join nostr while it's this shitty. Nostr is such trash, it gets no adoption and it doesn't even get awareness to people who think there's nowhere on the internet to post without bans. There are maybe about 4 good people here. We need a better nostr that actually attracts users and helps improve the population's mental health. Fuck the old nostr.

Waiting to see if the former inmate in charge of NYC jails will actually do anything. If he has a spine, one of the things he should be able to do is get rich people / "white collar criminals" transferred to shitty facilities to make space in nicer places for more deserving inmates.

If you think the people are going to rise up and do something about the authorities now that the Epstein files are coming out, look back at Jimmy Savile. Or more recently, Gaza. People already knew the authorities used our tax money to bomb and starve children there. That wasn't a secret at all. There is no guarantee people will rise up any time soon. It's a choice the people have to actually make, not just talk about.

A couple things I can confirm after joining upscrolled: 1. @Kayne is absolutely putting in a shift of work every day to promote nostr on there, he deserves credit 2. I'm not seeing the millions of users that have signed up, the community still feels small enough that nostr could easily be highly visible there with a few nostr users joining and mentioning it in replies and stuff
