For comparison to nostr: one of the memes I made got over a hundred upvotes on piefed yesterday, but the other one only got downvotes and psychologically abusive replies. Even for the post that got downvotes and abuse, at least maybe more people saw it than on nostr.

People are not doing a good job "being the algorithm" on nostr. Imagine how hopeless this place looks to new users, with the amount of work I've put into this npub, and me still not getting engagement for memes as good as the ones I made yesterday, while people like corndalorian easily get into Primal trending feeds for shit like complaining about 1 sat zaps. I can get a brief spike of engagement by posting a video I put weeks of work into, but all someone like corndalorian has to do is post an idiotic complaint. This less centralized platform (which people pretend isn't a platform) in its current state is almost as censored and echo chambered as any more centralized platform

I wish someone like Kat Abughazaleh or Zohran Mamdani could get the support to see through the uniparty, and not only be supported in the context of numbing themselves to buy into the Democrat cult. They try to give me hope that they'll stand for progress, but I just can't really believe that when they run as Democrats. It seems like at best they'll have some good policies, but also make a bad name for those policies with typical uniparty cult shit, thus holding progress back overall.
