Becoming a chain filled with shitcoins and useless data was never the goal, never the revolution.
Data is safer and more private on a protected server under your own control.
If the monetary maximalists abandon the project, it will die, the network will lose security, and your jpegs will be worthless.
For all the hype, primal doesn't work that good (for me). Perhaps it's me, but it takes forever, and sometimes never loads notifications. The same is true when posting; sometimes it works, other times it does not.
20 channels and growing…feels good to be back.

Proof of work. I like the necklace pendant. Madex was kind enough to send these as well.
Reminds me of the bracelet Hank gave to Lillian. The bracelet ultimately ended up with Dagny.

Blocked by @calle on X, so will post here…
Over 1/5 of the network is running knots. Choosing not to do so will result in an inefficient mempool.
Calle, if you don’t mind unblocking me, I don’t think I made any personal attacks.
Or perhaps I’m blocked for simply being low IQ.
Node is growing, will get a few more channels up today. Inbound appreciated.

If you run a solid node and can’t open due to being tapped out at the moment, drop an ID below and I will try to open.
Will start balancing soon.
I am spinning the lightning node back up. This time with core lightning. I ran TheOlympian for a 1.5 years, but needed to shut it down. If anybody wants to open, my public node ID is:

The remote liquidity is of course appreciated.
If anybody needs a channel, let me know below. I am going to build the liquidity up over the next 3 months.
Glad to be routing again!
I don’t post as often, but I’m still here. I appreciate all of you for being here as well.
Unchained in Texas seems to have a good reputation. I am thinking of rolling my 401k over to them.
Anybody have a positive or negative experience with them?
Seems like a solid company to me.
This morning, I am grateful to Foundry and Ant Pool for allowing me to transact using the bitcoin network.
Bitcoin, the “we haven’t censored you yet” protocol.
My pinned tweet on X:
"Regardless of price, protect bitcoin."
Bitcoin is a monetary network that volunteers support by running nodes, contributing code, educating, hodling, spending, and so on.
The social layer of bitcoin is important. For me, I am against spam on the network and believe we should take action to make our desires known. I will not be upgrading my core node and will continue to run my knots node at the office.
I understand the argument that if one miner with a reasonable amount of hash is willing to include spam, it could end up in the chain. Regardless of this, we should not condone abuse of the network.
Jack has said apathy is one of the biggest risk to bitcoin, I agree. If bitcoin fails as money, I am certain the world will bitcoin will die from lack of interest.
Is TOR a success? I consider an absolute failure. Despite the tech, which is questionable at best and probably infiltrated by FEDS, TOR is a failed project. NOBODY uses it routinely.
I don't want bitcoin to suffer be relegated to the dark, remote corner of the internet. A dead project, blocks that nobody cares about.
If you want to store data, buy 3 hard drives, separate them geographically. Data storage is not an issue, MONEY IS! We need to win, we must win.
Filters aren't 100%, and I am sure many core developers are wonderful people, but at this moment, I have lost some degree of confidence. We need more developers working on knots. We need to work to decentralize mining. We need more node runners.
If you support core, that is fine. I am glad you are fighting for bitcoin, but I'm on the other team. The team that wants bitcoin be a peer to peer monetary network that cannot be stopped.
When compliant blocks were being mined, we pressured the miner into stopping this violence against OUR NETWORK.
We can do the same with spam, but we must show resolve.
Protect bitcoin, regardless of price. If we fail to protect bitcoin, we go to zero.
Stream of ideas, post not edited.
I don’t post as much as I used to, but I remain extremely thankful for nostr.
Have there been any updates on how to rid of spam?
I can’t enjoy my feed because it is filled with garbage from people I don’t follow.
Price of bitcoin denominated in fiat…
