Movie ratings are like food ratings.
Just because the cereals have an A+ on the box doesn't really mean it's healthy.
Just because the movie is rated general audience doesn't mean you should let your kid watch it unsupervised.
In this tweet I address someone who accuse Saifedean of scamming him over a leatherbound. He answers that they are in production and it requires time but I go a bit further and would like to share with you here.

My friend @SeedVaultMarket is American too and he made sure I remember when he sent this highly nutritious blueberry jelly.

We're in this mess because most people don't have the ability to take a step back and understand where their enemies are coming from.
You may not change your mind when you do, but you may at least find sympathy for the position and the person who hold it.
I believe most people aren't evil. Simply misguided. It only take 1 false premise to build a corrupted belief system.
I'm rethinking this. Maybe I'm not quite right. I think it is mostly true that profit = values creation = progress but there is some thoughts experiment going through my head that I don't know how to deal with.

Enemies of profit are enemies of progress.
The artist doesn't ask. He attracts.
An Artist should not ask and beg for a patron. This isn't the way to go about it. This isn't the kind of power dynamic you want and it won't makes for a successful patronage.
I believe an Artist *chose* his patron and court him. It's a game of seduction. The Artist invest time and energy in this process over years. He must chose carefully as to not waste his time on a losing horse.
The Artist must seek a relationship of equal with his patron. Respect must go both ways. He is not simply the lemming for a rich individual. He is an Artist with a capital A. He must not lose sight of the power he embodies as such.
