Sadly the LLM-based natural language feed filtering is too slow. Won’t be able to launch with that. @Siphiwe benchmarked it. One day it’ll be possible though. Need smaller & faster LLMs. But don’t worry, a few other goodies are taking its place… I’ll let you all cook on feed filtering while we figure out some Other Stuff. Just hold my beer. 💛🐉

On this day, years ago, my uncle died from suicide. His mind was driven to the edges of schizophrenia by SNRIs & SSRIs. Prescribed to quit smoking cigarettes, little did he know those awful drugs would be much worse than cigs. Totally normal guy, completely destroyed by bad drugs prescribed by negligent doctors. It was an absolutely evil series of events that unfolded. One doctor prescribing him SNRIs for quitting cigs, another doctor prescribing him SSRIs to relieve the depression induced by the SNRIs. Absolute idiocy. These companies have been sued for millions and their only concession was to put a warning label on the body that SSRIs may cause suicide. Antidepressants that cause suicide?… What kind of brave new world BS is America permitting? Food dyes kill you slowly but these drugs are given to the most vulnerable people in our society & can rob them of their minds. I miss him so much, he was a black belt who always spoke his mind. Aggressive but honest and the coolest uncle. Ever since I lost him and Omar, I’ve been driven to find a way to reconfigure the pharmaceutical industry like Satoshi did to banking. I was aiming for this before he died, before I got into cryptography, but he escalated that desire into a necessity. A sly roundabout way out of the maze of off-target side-effects and dreadful bureaucracy. Permissionless development of precision medicine with quantum physics. It’s the only way to gain selectivity without bruteforce iterations. Like AlphaFold but perfect. I hope to achieve that dream one day. But most importantly, I hope these terrible options are removed from the market so this can’t happen to anyone else. Better options must exist, and we will find them. From NSI-189 to GLYX-13 and more, there are promising pathways beyond blindly blasting the brain with serotonin and norepinephrine. Even scientifically, SNRIs seem naive — pure adrenaline and serotonin isn’t the answer. RIP ~ to the coolest uncle ever. 🙏 image

Build fast and break things is the motto of shitcoiners. Build slow and reinforce things is the motto of OG bitcoiners. The more shortcuts you take to release half-baked ideas for the sake of craving social validation, the less timeless it will be. Delayed gratification is a lost art. 🔐

Lagrangian Mechanics (energy & velocity without annoying vector addition)🔋 > Newtonian Mechanics (mass & acceleration with annoying vector addition)🏓 Lagrangian’s coordinate invariance feels like the relativity of mathematical tools — both ensure the laws of physics remain unchanged, whether you switch suitable coordinate types or reference frames, making the choice of mathematical perspective irrelevant to the truth of the physics. Was talking to my oldest backend dev the other night about him *finally* integrating our custom GitNestr CLI operations into the Nestr frontend (a moment that’s been years in the making) and I saw a giant shooting star light up the sky blue. I was floored. Never seen a shooting star turn the whole sky blue like that. 🌠 Sometimes the universe gives you a sign to keep going. I’d like to think so at least :-)
